Mission
The mission of the Hispanic/ Latino Scouting is to serve the Hispanic Community of the Southern Region by helping instill values in young people, developing pride in their heritage, language, customs and religious training.
To help young Hispanics build their character, self-esteem and citizenship skills through the Scout Oath and Law.
Vision
The Hispanic / Latino Scouting Division functions as a liaison between the Boy Scouts of America, the Hispanic Community and the community at large to help make Scouting more welcoming and relevant to Hispanic families through our cultural bridges, our partnerships and our community leadership activities.
The Hispanic Scouting in the Southern Region will be a leader in efforts to empower and reach out to Hispanic families in need, to strengthen, support, stimulate and foster Scouting through programs and services tailored to their needs.
Hispanic Scouting in the Southern Region will strives to create and sustain a supportive environment for Hispanic families to succeed and grow through Scouting by encouraging their fullest participation at their own councils.
